FAQS about our club

Where is Atherton Basketball Association Inc Club located?

Our club plays at Atherton State High School Community Hall, Maunds Street every Tuesday during Queensland school terms 1,2, & 3.

Mini Ballers U10's play early afternoon after school hours and the junior teams follow thereafter.  Most senior men's and women's teams play in the evening.

You will be advised the Tuesday session start time based on the age group and team you join.

Who can play?

Tableland Tigers Atherton teams are only limited by the number of players registered, volunteer coaches and referees.  Our club offers teams from Mini Ballers U10's, Boys & Girls U12's, U14's, U16's & U18's plus a senior men & women's competition.

Everyone is welcome from beginners to experienced players.

How does a basketball session work?

Each junior session regardless of age group, runs for 1.5 hours every Tuesday.  You will be advised what time the session commences and we ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of your designated timeslot.

The 1.5 hour session incorporates basketball training, development, skills and fitness.  Game time is 8 minute quarters to put into practice what is learnt each week.

The basketball season runs Term 1, 2 & 3 of the Queensland school calendar.

Do you offer wheel chair basketball?

Yes we do!  Wheelie basketball and walking basketball is scheduled to commence Wednesday nights during Queensland school terms 2 & 3.  Join our club Facebook group to keep up to date with Wheelie and Walking basketball news.
